Just Bru’s Partner Roasters
Harmony Coffee - Hailing from the City of York, this coffee roaster is a purveyor of some of the best light roasted coffees out there, competing with some of the World's best Coffee Roasters. Harmony features at Just Bru twice a year, usually in May and December.
Common is one of Scotland's best roasters. It was the first coffee roaster that we ever featured at Just Bru and is single handedly responsible for getting us into coffee! They've had a great influence on us, and we're thrilled to work with them!
Caravan is a London coffee roasting legend. Zuza and the team pump out some incredible coffees. They featured alongside Common as one of our first ever roasters!
Blossom is a fan favourite for a reason... Josh, Olly, Nat and the team at Blossom have really sent waves around the Manchester Coffee roasting scene. We're thrilled to be working with them and featuring them regularly in our Multiroaster Subscription service.
Kiss The Hippo have set the precedent in London for when exceptional coffee roasting meets fantastic branding. I also used to work for Kiss the Hippo as their Roaster, so I can personally attest to their commitment to quality and attention to detail. As one of London's premier coffee roasters, they also offer an excellent coffee subscription themselves and feature regularly with us on our Multi-roaster subscription.
Hundred House are one of Shropshire's most dedicated and decorated coffee roasters, always putting out banger after banger. We're stoked to be working with them.
Routes, Oxford. Really randomly, I went to school with their head roaster! (Cheeky little tidbit for you). These guys inspire us daily and offer up some fantastic coffees. They tend to feature with us every October.
Obadiah are one of Edinburgh's most highly sought after coffee roasters, with their beautiful packaging and extremely high quality roasting. A fan favourite at Just Bru for a reason and a very worthy addition to our Multi-roaster subscription!
Goldbox are a favourite of ours. Barbs & Luca always know how to sort us out with some of the best coffees out there. Luca is a 3x UK Brewers' cup champion and a dedicated coffee professional. Goldbox's commitment to coffee roasting has put Newcastle on the map as a coffee haven. They feature regularly with our Multi-roaster subscription!
River. My heroes. Will & the team are some of my all time favourite human beings and have been an immense help in the development of my own career. In addition to this, they're a fantastic coffee roaster, and feature with us very regularly. From my hometown of Winchester, these stand-up dudes never disappoint.
Horsham is a World-class coffee roaster. Hailing from West Sussex, they pioneered light roasting coffee along the south coast. Livi also worked for these guys back in the day, great team, great people and phenomenal coffees. Their sourcing practices are unrivalled, and a very worthy addition to our coffee subscription!
Wolfox are one of the coffee roasters that put Brighton on the map as a Specialty Coffee Haven! Their coffees never disappoint.
Bailies are THE coffee roaster of Northern Ireland. Ask anyone to name Northern Irish coffee roasters, and Bailies will be one of the first names mentioned - a reputation for top-tier coffee roasting which has been hard earned, over a long period of time.
Full Court Press is one of Bristol's most beloved coffee roasters. One of the pioneer adopters of the exemplary Stronghold coffee roasting systems, their commitment to quality sets them apart. Skylark has become one of Brighton's most beloved coffee roasters. Their expansive selection of exemplary coffees always delivers. They've become a regular feature with our Coffee Subscription. Fun Fact - they delivered our first order to us by bike, stayed and chatted for a while!
Killbean is one of London's newest roasteries, and has come a great friend of ours! Famed for their very light, Nordic roast style, these guys really know their stuff. Great roaster, great people!
North Star - Leeds. The production team here have become great friends of ours, pumping out super consistent, great coffees month after month. An epic addition to our Coffee Subscription - we tend to feature these guys in April.
Resinn Coffee is Sunderland's latest addition to the coffee roasting world. Erik (who used to roast for us with Goldbox!) started Resinn in 2022 and regularly releases world-class coffees. We are pleased to feature Resinn annually at our coffee subscription. You can also Visit Resinn the Store at their regular popups in their gorgeous Victorian home in Sunderland.
Cairngorm was born in 2014 by Robi Lambie who had spent many years growing up around his Dad's cafe. It was always an aim to be a brand with a strong community connected by a love of great coffee. Cairngorm has become one of Scotland's most beloved roasters.
Campbell & Syme was founded in 2012 by Joe Syme who fell in love with the coffee culture when visiting Portland, Oregon. Joe returned home with a newfound passion. He started roasting his own coffee and selling it at farmer’s markets. Now a UK behemoth, these guys have become a world-class coffee roaster, and always deliver. They feature with us bi-annually.
Chipp has become one of Leeds' most beloved coffee roasteries. Zach started Chipp in 2016, while the specialty coffee roasting space was still very niche. His commitment to quality and ethical sourcing is what drew our attention to Chipp, and they have become. a great partner to feature with our Specialty Coffee Subscription.
Founded in 2014, Cult has been leading the chase in Edinburgh for over a decade. Their coffee roasting is always a joy to feature, and the team are always very receptive. We get on great with these guys, and they make an excellent addition to our coffee Subscription, usually featuring with us around January time.
Groundstate started out as one of the first ever adopters of the Typhoon fluid bed roasters. It was what initially got us so interested in working with them, as we had never tried coffee roasted on a fluid bed. The samples we received were absolutely superb, and easily one of the best we'd tried. Hailing from Dublin, these guys have been superb to work with at our Multi-roaster Coffee Subscription and we're thrilled to feature them.
Hardlines has become one of Cardiff's big name coffee roasters, and it's not hard to see why! Their consistency and outstanding quality has put them on the map. I don't want to be one of those people who say "I was there before they were famous" but we were one of their very first wholesale customers when I was working for Flat Whites (Winchester) back in 2018, just a few days after they launched, working on a little 4kg Probat. A few years later, and it's great to see how much they've grown, they still feature regularly with our Coffee Subscription.
Sanctuary Coffee started in Twickenham (before later relocating to Torquay). Marcus (who I worked with at Kiss the Hippo) is one of the most talented coffee roasters I know, working magic. He and Rhian are two of the most kind souled people out there, dedicating their coffee roastery to the protection of animals, donating thousands each year to animal sanctuaries. They've become a regular feature with our Coffee Subscription, and we're so pleased to maintain a great relationship.
Stay High, started by good friend of mine, Tom Misar. Tom is a fantastic roaster, who used to feature regularly with us when he was working for Brew Coffee Plus. As soon as. heannounced he was going solo, we were super pumped to feature his business ASAP, as we knew for a fact that it would be super. He's since grown his business into one of London's best coffee roasters. We feature Stay High every year.
Manhattan is widely regarded as one of the best coffee roasters in the world, hands down. Started by Esther Maasdam and Ben Morrow, these guys really know their stuff, and pump out non stop bangers. We have featured Manhattan a number of times. Their commitment to world class coffee makes them a very easy choice!
Catalyst has become one of London's most iconic coffee roasters, pedalling some of the best caffeinated goodness that the industry has to offer for almost a decade.
Outpost is an independent coffee roasting company based in Nottingham. Since their inception, they've become a huge name in the UK coffee scene. We have worked with them a number of times over the years to bring exceptional coffees to our Subscription.
Curve. Margate's finest coffee roaster. We love these guys and have worked with them since day one. We were first introduced to Curve via our friend Mridul at V69 coffee. Jon was dropping off a delivery, and even though he was very busy, he stopped to chat and share some filter, taking the time to tell me about the coffees.
Crankhouse. What more can we say about Dave and the team over at Crankhouse? Dave has rapidly become a true legend of the game. His honesty, integrity and downright coffee roasting prowess have earned him a fantastic reputation as one of Devon's top coffee roasting companies. Hailing from Exeter, Dave is one of those rare souls who is immensely supportive of others and also constantly in the pursuit of knowledge without any ego. He's a great guy and the coffees that he roasts are world class. For a time, he was the only person that I bought coffee from for myself, and although now I roast my own, whenever I fancy a treat - Dave is our go to.
Round Hill launched in 2012, and has since become a true OG of the coffee roasting world. Strangely enough, I was first introduced to Roundhill during a job interview for Flat Whites in Winchester, when I was given my first ever filter coffee to try out (made in an aeropress) and Roundhill was guesting at the time. Since then, it's been awesome seeing them go from strength to strength, turning into one of the UK's most beloved coffee roasters.
Wood Street. In 2015, Gareth met Tim Choi through a mutual friend. With a shared enthusiasm for specialty coffee, the pair joined forces and began roasting together in 2018. Since this time, Walthamstow has gained a real gem in the coffee roasting space.
Girls Who Grind Coffee is an all-female specialty coffee roastery owned by Casey LaLonde. She founded GWGC along with Fi O’Brien, in 2017. GWGC operates exclusively with female owned coffee farms, with the aim of empowering female producers.
Dominic’s vision when he founded Ue Coffee Roasters in 2009, was to become the first speciality coffee roaster in Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. As UE grew their reputation, they became known for sourcing and importing their own coffees from all over the world.
Founded by Matt in 2020, Hillside Coffee is a speciality coffee roastery based in East Sussex, dedicated to producing high-quality, traceable coffee in an ethical and environmentally conscious way. They focus on sourcing, roasting, and delivering their coffee with meticulous attention to detail, from green bean evaluation to the final cup.
Quarter Horse Coffee Roasters is an independent roastery located in Birmingham, UK. Founded in 2015, Quarterhorse has developed a hard earned reputation for high quality and ethically sourced coffees. Interestingly, I visited Quarterhorse's shop as they were getting one of the very first KB90s installed, back in May 2019.
Old Spike is a social enterprise coffee roastery based in London, dedicated to reducing homelessness in the UK. Using coffee as a medium to employ and donate to various causes, they have built up a large stock of shops, supplying coffee and doing good things all across London.
Red Bank was founded in 2014 by Tom, a good mate of ours! They were one of the first coffee roasters in the UK to roast on the Loring system, resulting in super high clarity coffees. Redbank have unrivalled sourcing, roasting some of the highest quality coffees the world has to offer.
Kickback coffee is a Cheshire based coffee roaster, started by Alex Shaw (who originally started it from his Kitchen!).
River City, based in Hull was launched in 2016 by Matt Pearson. The company was started in response to a well deserved and needed change to Matt's work life balance. He converted his garage into a makeshift coffee roastery, before later moving into the unit that River city occupies today! They have since
Founded in 2021 by Stephen Houston, a good mate of ours and exemplary coffee professional. Stephen's list of accolades is endless, and he has become one of the most highly regarded coffee professionals in the world. Lucid offers some of the most exceptional coffees that have hit the UK market, and they are very highly regarded by us here at Just Bru. Lucid tend to feature with us twice a year.
